With the development of technology, computers have started to get smaller. We no longer need huge computers for high performance. The latest example of this is the Mac mini model that Apple introduced recently. Now, new mini computer models are coming with the partnership of Intel and Asus.

ASUS to take on Mac mini by signing Intel

Intel announced that they have partnered with ASUS for their Next Unit of Compute (NUC) minicomputer models. The two companies have signed an agreement that will allow ASUS to manufacture, sell and support 10th to 13th generation products in Intel’s NUC series.

ASUS, which will sign NUC mini computers with this agreement, will also develop the designs of future NUC computers. The company is expected to develop customizable motherboards, chassis and other items alongside future NUC minicomputers.

Intel announced in a statement last month that it would stop investing directly in NUC computers. Explaining that they want to invest more in the production of processors, the company has made an agreement with ASUS for the development of NUC computers in line with this goal.

Asus is preparing to enter the market, especially the Mac mini, with new mini computer models. ASUS, one of the strongest brands in the computer market, will assert its claim on NUC computers and mini PCs after its partnership with Intel. The company is also expected to introduce a more performance-oriented model, similar to the Mac Pro, as part of the NUC series.

The agreement between Intel and Asus does not have any binding side for brands. Therefore, we may see NUC mini PC models from other brands in the future. So what do you think about the mini PC agreement between Asus and Intel? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
