Performance tests were carried out for the Apple M2 Pro and M2 Max, which were announced last week. The GPUs of Apple’s latest processors are 30 percent successful compared to the previous models. In CPU tests, it is possible to see an increase of about 20 percent. Here are the M2 Pro and M2 Max benchmark results.
How are the M2 Pro and M2 Max benchmark results?
The latest benchmark tests on the Apple M2 Pro and M2 Max processors powering the new MacBook Pro have emerged. The tests show improvements in GPU performance of Apple’s latest chips over the previous M1 Pro and M1 Max.
According to Geekbench scores, M2 Pro with 19-core GPU and M2 Max with 38-core GPU offer about 30 percent higher graphics performance compared to M1 Pro and M1 Max. By contrast, the M1 Ultra, released with Mac Studio last year, is about 9 percent faster than the M2 Max.
The benchmark results also show that the M2 Pro and M2 Max in the new MacBook Pro have scores of around 1900 and 15000 for single-core and multi-core, respectively. This translates to roughly 20 percent faster CPU performance than the M1 Pro and M1 Max.
Here are the overall performance results of Apple M series processors:
- M1 Ultra: 94,583 points
- M2 Max: 86,805 points
- M1 Max: 64,708 points
- M2 Pro: 52,691 points
- M1 Pro: 39,758 points
