Last week, Apple shared the first official information about its new event called Far Out. Although we are waiting for the introduction of the iPhone 14 and Watch Series 8, the M2 Pro and M2 Max may surprise. Mark Gurman said that development of the M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pros has begun.

We saw the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips at the WWDC 2022 event held in June. However, it is thought that Apple may expand the M2 family later this year. According to Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman, Apple wants to launch new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros by the end of the year.

Mark Gurman didn’t rule out that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models could be affected by a variety of factors, including supply chain disruptions. Still, he thinks Apple wants to offer new MacBook Pros by this fall.

Earlier, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that MacBooks with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips will enter production in the last quarter of the year. Mark Gurman’s latest claim also supports this information.

Apple is working with TSMC for the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. Although it was stated a while ago that it will be built on 3nm architecture, let’s say that 5nm is more prominent. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are expected to be the most powerful models in the series.

Considering that there have been changes in the design of the MacBooks announced last year, no change is expected in the new generation laptops. The 2021 MacBook Pro added MagSafe and an HDMI port, used a 1080p camera, and made the transition to thinner bezels.
