The treasury wallet of NFT platform LiveArtX was attacked.

Although the NFT world moves in parallel with the decline in the crypto money market, it has an important share. The attackers are after this burgeoning industry, taking advantage of the vulnerabilities in the crypto industry. Most recently, Mango Markets suffered a $117 million hack. With the worst month in crypto hacks, another new attack news came.

Price Reduced for LiveArtX’s NFT Collection

LiveArtX said the attacker gained access to the treasure wallet and stole 197 NFTs.

The NFT platform saw its Meta-morphic: Seven Treasures collection stolen early Monday morning. The attacker gained access to the platform’s treasury wallet and transferred 197 NFTs to a wallet with the address “0x5f7848EC0286304DC5FE6497AF4B3C0FeaD6A920”. It then began selling NFTs at much lower prices than their previously listed values, breaking the collection’s base price.

The price of the collection has been reduced from 1 ETH (about $1,300) to 0.1 ETH ($130). LiveArtX said the stolen NFTs were frozen and it was working to identify the attacker.

Team members updated the smart contract after the incident. The private key obtained by the attacker is no longer valid and users will not be able to purchase NFTs already listed on OpenSea.
