Although Twitter Blue, the paid subscription system that Twitter has recently offered to its users, has received various criticisms, people are now used to it, especially the blue tick that comes with Twitter Blue.

It seems that Facebook and Instagram’s parent company Meta also wants to join this trend, as a reverse engineering developer found embedded codes for paid blue ticks on Instagram.

Paid blue ticks may come to Instagram and Facebook: It will be named ‘Meta Verified’

According to the information shared by an account named TechDroider on Twitter, it is possible to switch to the same system on Facebook and Instagram, which have Meta applications such as Twitter Blue. As seen in the shared post, the paid subscription system, whose name will be ‘Meta Verified’, will offer various features as well as a blue tick.

In the image shared by Matt Navarra, the advantages of this subscription stand out.

Among these advantages; There will be benefits such as ‘approved’, priority support, priority in comments, and special stickers.

Again, according to the information in the post; Those who use a business account, those under the age of 18, those with missing profile information and photo, those who do not verify their identity and those who do not meet the minimum activity requirement in the application will not be able to benefit from this subscription.

Before these shared Twitter posts, traces of Meta’s paid subscription system plans were actually discovered.

A reverse-engineering developer unearthed the following lines in Instagram’s code:

“IG_NME_PAID_BLUE_BADGE_IDV”

“FB_NME_PAID_BLUE_BADGE_IDV”

As understood from the code, a paid blue tick feature is being considered for both Instagram and Facebook. What do you think will happen if this feature comes to these platforms? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
