British indie studio Hello Games is building something it describes as “more ambitious” than No Man’s Sky. While the studio’s next game has been announced as Light No Fire, the scale of the game is truly insane. According to the studio, Light No Fire will take place on a fully detailed and full-scale planet.

Light No Fire: Scale the whole world

Light No Fire can be summarized as an open-world exploration and community-building game set on an Earth-sized planet, blending RPG elements with sandbox survival. Light No Fire is an open-world exploration and community-building game set on an Earth-sized planet, blending RPG elements with sandbox survival. Offering climbable trees, hills and mountains in an ancient and fantastical landscape, the game promises a multiplayer experience. According to Sean Murray, co-founder of Hello Games, Light No Fire; “the first truly open world”.
Light No Fire has been in development for five years by nearly a dozen developers at Hello Games. In the first trailer for the game, it looks like the team took an entire planet from No Man’s Sky and filled it completely with life, resources, and mysteries. There is no release date or confirmed platform for Light No Fire. It was kept completely secret before it was announced as part of The Game Awards 2023. By the way, all the images in the trailer video below belong to the game. It seems that we can use means of transportation under sea, on land and in the air in the game. Various battles and landscapes are also displayed.

When Hello Games is mentioned, what comes to mind is No Man’s Sky, a comprehensive and incredibly popular space exploration simulation that was released in 2016 and has only gotten better over time. When the game was released, it was impossible to live up to the ongoing hype, and it did. No Man’s Sky promised a universe of procedurally generated planets to explore, full of minerals, creatures, and other players to encounter, but when it launched on August 9, 2016, it was buggy and empty. However, over the years, Hello Games began to develop No Man’s Sky and deliver what was first promised, one by one. As a matter of fact, at the moment the game can perhaps be described as the best space-themed game.
