LG Display is starting to develop two sizes of OLED displays for future iPads. According to industry information, the company aims to be Apple’s supplier with 12.9-inch and 11-inch OLED panels.

A report by TheElec based on information from industry sources shows that LG is looking to become Apple’s display supplier for use in future iPads. Working to develop both 11-inch and 12.9-inch OLED panels, LG Display will compete with Samsung for iPads with OLED panels, which are expected to be released in 2024.

Although LG Display is stated to be the exclusive supplier of the 12.9-inch model, previous reports that Samsung Display is working to develop its own version for the 11-inch model had shown.
It is stated that LG will have an advantage if it can produce both sizes.
