Lenovo introduced an interesting concept laptop at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona: Yoga Solar PC. This device can transform sunlight into energy by providing an innovative solution to battery life, one of the biggest problems of laptops. According to Lenovo’s statement, the panel, which consists of 84 solar cells integrated into the lid of the device, can provide one hour of video playback time in just 20 minutes in direct sunlight.
It may not remain as “concept”
Although Lenovo says Yoga Solar PC is only a concept, the company is known to have launched similar concept products in the past. For example, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 model was introduced as a concept in 2023, but now in June 2025, it is preparing to be available with a $ 3,499 price tag.
In this context, the possibility of yoga solar PC will become a commercial product in the future. This kind of energy source can provide a great advantage, especially for mobile employees, travelers and camps.

Yoga Solar PC has a strong equipment with Intel’s Lunar Lake processor, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. The 14 -inch OLED screen is also very ambitious in terms of portability with a thickness of 15 mm and a weight of 1.04 kg.

In addition, Lenovo has not forgotten the existing yoga laptop users. The company introduced an external Solar Kit as a concept. This accessory, which turns into a double panel when it is turned on, can be connected to a backpack or positioned with an independent support. This Kit, which can charge devices directly with the USB-C connection, also makes it possible to use the energy with a portable battery and then use it later.
