In the racing genre game world, I guess it is not in its former popularity in recent years. The reason for this is, of course, the subject of a different article, and it is a long one. However, there are still a few racing games that sell well each year. In addition to these racing games, which are a bit more simulation-like, there are of course more arcade games and relatively more entertaining games such as Mario Kart. When we say fun games, we can say that one of the first series that comes to mind is the Lego series. That’s why the Lego 2K Drive, which is the subject of our article today, was a production that excited me from the first moment. When the code was provided to us, I wanted to enter and experience this.

It would be logical to start the review with the fun the game actually offers. Lego 2K Drive is a game where you travel with various vehicles in the open world, perform tasks, enter races, enter events. Apart from the story mode, it is a production where you can diversify the fun with other modes, including the online mode. As always, thanks to the split screen feature, you can play with your friend on the same screen with two people. During the time I played, I only played the two player mode. We spent time in the story mode by going to missions and activities with my friend and I have to say that it was really enjoyable. As we have seen in many such racing games, the game also has the feature of attacking rival vehicles during the race. Many players may know this feature from Blur. As in Blur, you can attack other vehicles with the features you gain during the race, and even if you lag behind the entire race, you can sit first thanks to these abilities at the last moment. This makes every moment of the racing part of the game enjoyable.

Another feature that makes the game enjoyable is that the races do not take place only on the flat track. In the same race, you race sometimes on the sand road, sometimes on the asphalt road and sometimes on the water. These transitions are also automatic if you wish, so you can focus only on the race. However, there is a situation in the racing part. It’s very noticeable that if the AI gets too far ahead of you and seriously distracts you from the race, they slow down for you to catch up. That’s why sometimes this undermines your enjoyment. So if you want a more challenging structure, you may not find it in this game.

At the same time, the game has a really wide customization option. You can customize both your vehicles and your character extensively. But there is a problem here: In-game payments. Even when you finish the story mode of the game, the pieces in your hand cannot even pass by the pieces that you can reach by spending money. Therefore, I can say that if you want to use more special and beautiful pieces, you have to spend money.

To sum up, Lego 2K Drive offers great fun, especially when played with a friend. Of course, it’s fun when you play alone, but I recommend you to play using the Split screen feature. When you play alone, the game becomes much more diverse and enjoyable with different modes.
