The upcoming iOS 15. 2 update will allow a deceased person to create a list that will allow anyone he previously selected to access the data on their iPhone. The feature was introduced at WWDC 2021, but was not part of the first iOS 15 upgrade rolled out in September. A new beta version released for iOS 15.2 shows that this feature will come to this update.
Thanks to the feature called “Legacy Contact”, the people you choose will have access to your Apple ID account and personal information on your iPhone after your death. This information includes photos, videos and documents.
