Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 4 owners have reported issues with the lift to wake feature not working properly to Samsung. In order to be more descriptive of the problem, it was also shared with a video under the title of “screen flickering problem”.Apparently, the Galaxy Watch smartwatch automatically locks itself and puts it to sleep when the wrist is moved. Normally, the clock needs to go to sleep shortly after the lift-to-wake gesture, but it seems to happen within a few seconds.
Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 4 users have left many complaints on Samsung support forums, but the company has yet to officially comment. The issue is estimated to affect a small number of devices.
