SEC delays Spot Bitcoin ETF decisions
As we reported on Kriptokoin.com, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has delayed its decision on WisdomTree’s Bitcoin Trust application, which was first filed on December 8, 2021. The institutional giant resubmitted its ETF filing on July 19, 2023, as its first ‘deadline’ approached.
Meanwhile, WisdomTree’s Bitcoin ETF proposal failed to get SEC approval in 2021. However, WisdomTree has also re-applied after BlackRock joined the spot Bitcoin ETF race. However, WisdomTree isn’t the only corporate giant to make a second attempt after being rejected. Companies such as Valkyrie, Fidelity, and Invesco have also re-submitted spot Bitcoin ETF applications.
