Eurozone March 2023 inflation rate was announced as 6.9 percent annually and 0.9 percent monthly.
According to the data released by Eurostat, a decline was observed in annual inflation rates in the Euro Area. However, on the other hand, the increase in the monthly inflation rate in the Euro Zone was remarkable. Eurozone, February inflation rate was announced as 8.5 percent annually and 0.8 percent monthly. In this context, the expectations for March were 6.9 percent. According to the latest data, Eurozone March inflation fell to 6.9 percent. Inflation expectations on a monthly basis were shaped in the direction of an increase. In line with the expectations, the latest inflation data showed that the inflation in March rose to 0.9 percent.
Euro Zone Annual Inflation Declines
Eurozone March 2023 inflation rate was announced as 6.9 percent annually. Annual inflation, which stood at 8.5 percent last month, fell within expectations.
The fall in the inflation rates in the USA and the “dove” appearance of the interest rate increase had a positive impact on the global markets as well. After the European Central Bank’s interest rate hike, the fall in inflation rates announced today drew attention. Although inflation fell on an annual basis in March, it rose on a monthly basis. Eurozone monthly inflation rose to 0.9 percent, the highest level since October.
