As we enter the era when electric vehicles were at their brightest, we can’t help but turn our heads and think about the times when the engines were roaring. Of course, we make this sentence without including environmental factors. Even though we accept those who started their lives with direct electric models such as Tesla, it is not easy for consumers to transition to the electric field of vehicle manufacturers such as Lamborghini, whose engine sounds we have buried in our minds.

It seems that consumer habits are not the only problem here. Because Lamborghini Asia Pacific Regional Manager Francesco Scardaoni explained exactly what the company is waiting for to switch to fully electric vehicles. It is worth noting that the statement in question is open to debate.

“The heavy batteries of the current generation are not yet suitable for the sports cars that represent the company.”

Speaking at the promotional event of the hybrid Revuelto model, Scardaoni stated that when you go to the track with an electric vehicle and do 2-3 laps, the vehicle either warms up or loses performance between laps. For this reason, Scardaoni stated that Lamborghini is not going for a 100% electric model at this stage, and beyond that, he said that they attach importance to the opinions of customers.

However, we know that the Lamborghini Lanzador concept vehicle will enter production in 2028. So is Scardaoni contradicting himself? Of course no. Scardaoni said these statements for performance sports vehicles. On the other hand, Lanzador will appear as a 2-door and 4-seat GT vehicle. The company, which has converted other models into hybrids so far, aims to halve its carbon footprint by 2025.

Scardaoni states that in the future, super sports vehicles can also reach a completely electric point and will be at a level that will meet the needs. According to the official’s words, although Lamborghini is not a pioneer, it will be the best in its field.
