Kraken CEO has decided to close the city’s headquarters in San Francisco after accusing the city of failing to ensure public safety.
CEO Jesse Powell announced that they closed the office after employees were attacked, harassed and robbed multiple times on their way to the office.
The statement was originally made by Richie Greenberg, a San Francisco resident commentator. Dozens of responses came to the statement made on Twitter, including security problems in the city.
According to Powell’s statement, San Francisco’s public safety is in poor condition as problems with crime, homelessness and drug use are rampant. The real problem, according to Powell, is District Attorney Chesa Boudin, who hasn’t done enough to punish criminals.
