Cryptocurrency Exchange Kraken Appoints New CEO
This week, Dave Ripley officially takes over as CEO of Kraken, while outgoing CEO and co-founder Jesse Powell will take his new role as Chairman of the Board.
Kraken wrote on its website:
“We have successfully overcome a number of industry challenges, launched several new products and further strengthened our executive staff. We have done this to ensure that Kraken is in a strong position for the next phase of growth led by Dave. We have much more exciting things ahead of us and we look forward to sharing more in the weeks and months ahead.”
Former CEO and co-founder Jesse Powell used the following statements about the new CEO:
“Dave has been an incredibly valuable colleague and thought partner over the years. There is no other leader in this industry with the crypto belief, experience and character that Dave brings. As a founder himself, he has a unique and deep understanding of our business, our customers, and the opportunities Kraken faces.”
