KKR aims to reach greater reach to individual investors while making some of its private equity funding available on the Avalanche Blockchain.

KRR aims to reach more individual users as it launches the Healthcare Strategic Growth Fund on the Avalanche blockchain.

With $471 billion in assets at the end of 2021, KKR is working with digital asset management platform Securitize Capital, which will manage the entry of new investors into the platform, according to a press release.

Individuals will be able to invest in KKR’s healthcare fund through a tokenized fund on the Avalanche blockchain powered by Securitize.

Traditional finance companies continue to enter the crypto industry this year, despite a market crash that caused the Bitcoin (BTC) price to drop by more than 50 percent. Wall Street clearinghouse Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. launched a private blockchain last month, and venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz doubled its crypto stance by launching a fourth crypto fund worth $4.5 billion in May.

KKR said the tokenized health care fund hopes to provide individual investors with a more accessible investment vehicle.
