The video games industry, which started with Tennis for Two in 1958, continues today with high quality productions such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and God of War. While it is thought that hundreds of thousands of games have been released so far, there are also those who never forget their names. Of course, the most important reason why they are not forgotten is that they have difficult tasks.
One of the first games that come to mind when it comes to difficult missions is undoubtedly GTA: Vice City, which was released by Rockstar Games in 2002. The mission to blast the construction with a tiny helicopter was adept at getting on players’ nerves. In this content, we have brought together the most difficult tasks that we mentioned in the games and similar to it.
Here are the world’s hardest game missions!
GTA: Vice City – Demolition Man
In the Demolition Man mission in GTA: Vice City, which is seen as the most difficult task in the game world, we were asked to destroy a construction by detonating it. Our main character, Tommy, was coming near the construction with a vehicle and was placing bombs at certain points by remotely controlling a small helicopter.
Of course, if the most important factor that made the task difficult was not a time limit. During this time, we were trying to take the bombs from one point and place them at the other point. In fact, this task was difficult only for PC gamers. Because the keyboard controls were not very suitable for the task.
The most suitable platform for this task was the console. So much so that console players also support this by saying that the task is quite easy. In other words, Demolition Man, which is seen as the most difficult game task in the world, was only challenging PC players.
Battleloads – Turbo Tunnel
In Turbo Tunnel, the third mission of the Battletoads game released in 1991, we are in an environment like the inside of a giant creature. As players, our goal is to ride a hoverbike and pass through the obstacles in this tunnel, which takes three minutes.
The mission gets harder as you progress. Because while the hoverbike is getting faster and faster, the obstacles also become challenging. So we need to make quick reflexive moves. For this reason, it is among the most difficult game missions in the world.
Super Mario Bros. 3 – World 8 Fortress
Super Maria Bros., which was released for the console in 1988. In the World 8 Fortress level in game 3, players try to tackle obstacles inside a castle with a complex labyrinth. They also deal with frustrating doors, aside from formidable obstacles, traps and enemy attacks.
In this level, players were trying to find the right path by exploring interconnected doors and secret rooms. But some doors were sending back. This was also very frustrating and, of course, creating complexity.
Dead Cells – Toxic Sewers
Toxic Sewers in Dead Cells is one of the most difficult game missions in the world. Our goal as players was to reach the end of the level by going through a sewer full of poison and various obstacles.
Of course, it was necessary to stay away from poisonous liquids while moving through the sewers and to be careful against enemy attacks. For this reason, the task was very challenging for the player.
Donkey Kong – Stage 1
In the first episode of Donkey Kong, which can be played on Arcade, Atari, GameBoy and NES in 1981, the main character Mario was struggling to reach the top by climbing the platforms. Of course, he was also trying to avoid Donkey Kong’s attacks.
Donkey Kong was throwing barrels at him as Mario tried to get to the top of the platform. We were trying to move forward without touching them. Stage 1, which gets more difficult as it progresses, is among the most difficult game missions in the world.
