Creating strong passwords is just as important as using 2-step verification to protect online accounts. Password managers are great tools for users who struggle to find strong, hard-to-guess passwords for each account. LastPass, 1Password etc. browser extensions (plugins) show the strength of the password and warn you if a weak password is created, and you create a strong password in line with the suggestion. Now this feature will be built into Google Chrome.
The expected feature is coming to Google Chrome: Here are the details
A new feature is coming to Chrome that will show the strength of the password you create directly in the browser. The password strength indicator, discovered in the latest Chrome version, appears when the user is creating a new account, while entering or changing the password.
Google is also switching to a password-free system
Google is working on “passkeys”, which will be a passwordless solution for authentication that uses biometrics and other methods to remove the password from users’ lives.
