But the new information learned by Variety has put the fate of the universe into uncertainty again. It was shared that the film projects developed by two big names for the Star Wars universe were canceled.

According to information Variety learned from sources, Disney pulled the plug on Rogue Squadron, which will be directed by Patty Jenkins and will be the next film in the series. Moreover, this decision was made in September 2022.
Details are not known about the project that Kevin Feige has been working on for more than three years. The only thing learned is that Kevin Feige is no longer directing a project within Lucasfilm, so it has been shelved.
According to Lucasfilm’s roadmap, the next Star Wars movie will arrive in December 2025, but it’s unknown which movie it will be:
