Keenetic Runner 4G Review

We have previously examined different devices of Keenetic, which offers suitable solutions to users with its wide product range in internet connection point. While the models we reviewed earlier require a local internet connection, our current review is aimed at users who have difficulty accessing fixed internet. While the fixed internet problem we encounter especially in summer cottages can be easily solved with this type of device, of course, there is no summer of freedom to connect to the internet from anywhere. Our guest today, Keenetic Runner 4G, stands out as a product that will provide this.

Keenetic Runner 4G can work as a 4G modem router with its internal SIM card slot. In this way, in places where there is no fixed internet, you can easily connect to the internet via your mobile line and share the internet with your other devices. You are probably saying to yourself, “I can do this by turning on my phone’s hotspot,” but when it comes to stable internet, we cannot say that the internet connection you will share over your phone is very effective. Let’s say that the antennas on it already provide a pretty good shooting power. Because, each of the LTE antennas has a gain of 4 dBi, while the gain of each of the Wi-Fi antennas is 5 dBi. In this sense, its performance will meet its needs.

We did our test with this device in both home and office environments. Although there is a corridor of approximately 10 meters between the living room and the back rooms in home use, we have seen that the signal can easily reach the back rooms as well. We also achieved a similar result in an open office environment. In both scenarios, we can get download results of around 100 Mbps through our SIM card inserted in Keenetic Runner 4G, while it should be noted that the device supports download speeds up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds up to 50 Mbps. Of course, these speeds are related to your location, the distance to the base station and the density of the lines.

Well, can you use every service provider’s mobile internet package with this device? Yes, there are no restrictions on this. Keenetic Runner 4G supports all SIM cards and mobile operators in Turkey. After you open the box of Keenetic Runner 4G, all you have to do is insert your SIM card to be able to connect to the internet, that’s all.

It’s that simple, of course, but Keenetic Runner 4G is not just a modem and router. KeeneticOS has a very detailed range of settings and options in its interface. So much so that you can integrate Keenetic Runner 4G into your Wi-Fi Mesh system, and thus you can benefit from your internet network on a large scale. Meanwhile, KeeneticOS offers a wide range of options, but it is not difficult to use. You can find the application of the device, which can be completely controlled through the mobile application, in the App Store and Google Play Store. You can easily set up the device with this application and see all the settings together.
