Kawasaki exhibited their new robot, Bex, inspired by a goat, at the 2022 International Robot Fair in Tokyo. The four-legged robot can be driven by a human. In addition, thanks to its adaptable upper part, it can be used for different tasks.

A product of Kawasaki’s Kaleido program, which has been working on bipedal robots since 2015, Bex is capable of moving both on flat ground and rough terrain. was designed. The robot goat can move both with its four legs and with its wheel system.
With a load carrying capacity of up to 100 kilograms, Bex can be designed according to the tasks it needs to perform, thanks to its upper body being an adaptable platform.
New shock absorbing material, as strong as metal but much lighter
With its adaptable upper body, Bex can be used in different applications in many places such as factories, construction sites, agricultural lands. Bex, which is also suitable for cargo transportation, will also be able to perform the security patrol task undertaken by Boston Dynamics’ robot dog Spot at some Hyundai factories.
