The bankruptcy judge has terminated the naming rights agreement between the Miami Heat and FTX.
According to the report, Miami-Dade county, use of the FTX name will be discontinued immediately and all images and markings inside the arena will be removed.
Miami Heat and FTX Deal Canceled
Officials in Miami-Dade County said they would find a new naming rights partner in November and would work to end their relationship with FTX after filing for bankruptcy.
The arena has been known as FTX Arena since the parties signed a naming rights deal worth $135 million nearly two years ago. The complex is located in the heart of downtown Miami and additionally hosts many non-basketball events.
Miami-Dade County and Miami Heat spokespersons have not made a statement on the matter.
