Joker, one of DC Comics’ most acclaimed and successful productions in the recent period, started to be talked about with the second one right after the first movie that entered the vision in 2019. Today, after the first movie where we saw the birth of DC’s famous character, the highly anticipated announcement finally came.
The director and writer of Joker, Todd Phillips, included photos officially announcing Joker’s sequel in his latest post on his Instagram account. Philips showed the cover of the script written and completed in the first photo of its share, and the moment when Joaquin Phoenix read this script in the second photo.

The Joker’s sequel his name appeared on the screenplay cover as ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’. The term ‘Falie a Deux’ in the title of the movie is used for a psychiatric syndrome that involves the separation of two people -usually a couple- from reality and sharing delusions with all their perceptions in common.
Philips did not include any explanation other than these two photos in the said share. However, another information on the cover of the script showed that the script was published on May 18, 2022. In other words, the writing phase of the screenplay has recently ended and preparations have probably begun for the production of the film.
