Jeremy Alliare of Circle voiced his views on Web3.

Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire explained that the launch of their programmable wallet is just one part of their strategy to expand Web3 services.

Circle CEO thinks Web3 will go mainstream

In a statement Friday, Allaire stated that Circle is further boosting its Web3 services as its stablecoins and cryptocurrencies company introduces programmable wallets. Allaire said that this new wallet offering is just the beginning of additional web3 services that will include stablecoin-based cross-chain payments and simple smart contract development platforms in the future.

Allaire made the following statements in a post on Twitter:

We see Web3 ready to go mainstream. It is inevitable that large consumer internet companies and brands will start integrating Web3 principles into their services. Likewise, fintech companies, payment providers and financial institutions will start using Web3 for tokenization, payments and financial applications. To achieve this goal, more developers are needed who can develop Web3 applications.”

Circle quietly launched its developer-friendly programmable wallets in early July. These wallets aim to provide customers with easier access to cryptocurrencies, NFTs and other digital assets. It also offers the ability to transact using different blockchains. This step comes at a time when interest in the Web3 ecosystem and crypto technologies is growing.
