According to data provided by Jed Balance, the website that tracks Jed McCaleb’s XRP balance, the Ripple co-founder and former CTO now has less than 114 million XRP left in his wallet.
As it is known, McCaleb started working on Ripple in 2011 and was a member of the founding team of the company when it was launched in 2013. He was awarded 8 billion XRP tokens for his work on creating and launching OpenCoin. McCaleb later left Ripple in 2014 to focus on Stellar (XLM). McCaleb has stated in the past that he plans to sell the funds he receives on a set schedule. Since then it has been selling XRP occasionally.
According to the website that tracks the balance of the former Ripple CTO, Jed McCaleb currently has 110,871,334 XRP left in his wallet.
It’s expected to run out in 28, 26 or 30 days, depending on how fast it sells that amount. The first option requires him to sell 3,718,395 XRP each week, the second requires him to sell an average of 4,033,827 XRP each month, and the third is possible provided McCaleb sells an average of 3,523,447 XRP every three months.
However, the website only shows the current balance and does not take into account how much Ripple still owes the former CTO.
