After leaving Twitter, Jack Dorsey, who started activities to support Bitcoin and blockchain projects, is slowly shaping his roadmap. The famous name came up with the concept of Web5.
What is Web5?
The concept that is currently trending as Web3 refers to the personalized version of the internet that can be used in a decentralized and point-to-point manner. The fact that it is supported by the blockchain has also made a big impact in the crypto money world. Currently, Web2 allows information to be controlled by central powers.
Terra LUNA scandals do not end
Jack Dorsey is working on a new concept in the form of Web5. Web5 is based solely on the Bitcoin blockchain and brings specific tools for the full emergence of the decentralized internet.
The first of these is decentralized identifiers called DIDs. These identifiers do not require any central authority, token or administrator. Using the ION open source network, DID can identify the system it is connected to thanks to special identities. DID can in theory do thousands of operations per second.
DWN is a decentralized web node, a mechanism for sending messages and storing data. DWN, which enables data connected to a DID to be detected, thus helps identities that need approval to communicate with each other.
SSIS interacts on the basis of DWN and DID for all operations such as authentication and key exchange. Thus, it quickly validates. Jack Dorsey’s team aims to create a decentralized and fast internet that can provide the most accurate confirmation by using the technologies listed above. As of July 1, reference applications will start and the first examples will appear.
