It has been known that Apple has been wanting to make significant changes to the iPad Pro for a while. In addition to the OLED screen and M3 processor, it has now been claimed that the storage will increase. A new rumor has revealed that Apple may offer up to 4TB of storage for the first OLED iPad Pro models it will introduce in 2024.
4TB good news for 2024 model OLED iPad Pro
New information from sources close to Apple’s supply chain claims that the company will increase the maximum storage capacity of iPad Pros. On iPad Pros, which currently offer up to 2TB of storage, this option will double to 4TB.
The company first introduced the 2TB storage option with the 5th generation iPad Pro, which was introduced in 2021. Current 6th-generation models also offer 2 TB of storage and additionally support up to 4K ProRes video recording.
The move to OLED displays and the addition of advanced ProRes video recording features may lead to increased storage demands from professional users. The 4 TB configuration will provide enough space for large files.
It seems likely that Apple will also double the lowest storage option. So the iPad Pro, which will be introduced in 2024, may have 256GB of base storage instead of 128GB. It has been reported that there will also be an increase in RAM and that it will reach 24GB and even 32GB configurations.
However, let us point out that Apple has been busy with iPhone and Apple Watch lately. The company is preparing for the ‘Wonderlust’ event on September 12, where the iPhone 15 and Watch Series 9 will be introduced.
