According to a new report from Searchmetrics, most of the world’s best websites fail to provide the ideal user experience (UX) determined by Google standards, on both desktop and mobile platforms. Firm, Google. com and found that by Google standards, 50% offer a good desktop experience and 44% do not offer a good mobile experience.

Google’s benchmarks are called Core Web Vitals. These are a new set of metrics that Google introduced earlier this year, tracking the UX provided by other websites and having a direct impact on SEO. Google places the websites with the best UX at the top of the search results because it wants to provide the best UX possible to its visitors.

Core Web Vitals encourages publishers to settle for a better UX experience, otherwise they will rank lower in search engine results pages. The real question is whether Google can harm the biggest digital brands for this reason. Or will these changes only affect smaller players?
