It is claimed that Samsung will prefer Sony cameras in the Galaxy S25 (Isn’t it already producing its own camera?)

Allegedly, Samsung will use Sony's camera sensors instead of its own camera sensors in the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ models that will be released in 2025.

READING NOW It is claimed that Samsung will prefer Sony cameras in the Galaxy S25 (Isn’t it already producing its own camera?)

Sony was using ISOCELL GN5 50MP camera sensors in the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ models. This year’s Galaxy S23 and 23+ models included a 50MP GN3 camera sensor. The same sensor is expected to be included in the Galaxy S24 and S24+, which we will start seeing on the market soon. According to the latest news, Samsung will start working with Sony on the Galaxy S25 and S25+ models.

X user named @Tech_Reve, who has previously leaked detailed information about Samsung products, claimed that Samsung will work with Sony for camera sensors starting from 2025. He did not share any details about which camera sensor was in question. It is not clear whether Sony will offer Samsung one of its existing camera sensors or develop a new sensor.

According to rumors circulating behind the scenes, Samsung is eyeing Sony’s camera lenses.

The same user also stated that Samsung has developed a 200 MP 1-inch sensor, so apparently Samsung will also use this camera sensor in its new flagship models. This new ISOCELL sensor will allow 0.8µm pixels, dual-pixel autofocus and integrated in-sensor section zooming. Another rumor about the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is that it will come with Samsung’s 3nm-based 10-core Exynos 2500 processor.

The Galaxy S25 series has started to be talked about even before Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series arrived. Would you switch to the Samsung Galaxy S24 series if you had the opportunity? Or would you wait another year and opt for the Galaxy S25 series?
