WhatsApp, which was bought by Facebook (Meta) for approximately 20 billion dollars in February 2014, had the most active period of recent times. It is claimed that the famous messaging application, which has developed different innovations on many different platforms in 2021, is working on the ‘three-tick’ feature. So is there any basis for these claims? Here are the details…
WaBetaInfo responds to WhatsApp claim
WhatsApp has made significant innovations in the past year, both for Android and iOS users on mobile platforms, and with desktop / web applications. The company, which offers updates on privacy settings more frequently than ever before, also introduced many innovations, large and small, such as the deletion time of messages and the ability to create stickers on the computer.
The worldwide popularity of the famous messaging app brings with it the rumors and frequent talk of the upcoming features.
Various claims have been made in the past year, such as that there are three blue ticks on WhatsApp from time to time and that this means that the message sent was read by the government / security forces. WhatsApp had to explain that such a feature was not included in the application after growing doubts on the subject.
Finally, a brand new ‘three-tick’ claim came recently. According to word of mouth, if users saw three blue ticks instead of two in their messages, it would indicate that a screenshot of the conversation was taken. Some users even said that this feature started to come with the beta version.
The last point on the subject was put by the social media account of WABetaInfo, which follows even the smallest updates and innovations for WhatsApp. WABetaInfo confirmed that WhatsApp is not working on such an innovation and that the news is false.
