READING NOW It became clear why AC Black Flag was removed from Steam: It was not a remake…

About a week ago, we shared with you that Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, one of the most popular games of the series, was removed from sale on Steam. The fact that Ubisoft did this without any explanation gave rise to rumors of remakes. But the situation was different.

Ubisoft announced: AC4 Black Flag has been removed from Steam due to a technical error

Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag has been removed from Valve’s Steam client due to technical issues and will be restored to the platform soon. Last week, Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag quietly disappeared from Steam, with only the landing page open and no reason given.

“We are aware that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag is currently not available for purchase on Steam,” a representative from Ubisoft told PC Gamer. Officials stated that this was due to a technical issue and teams are working on a solution to bring the game back as soon as possible.

When the game was first removed from Steam, there was excitement that a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag could be made, but unfortunately that is not the case. Almost a decade after its debut, the sixth main game in the long-running stealth-action franchise remains one of the best Assassin’s Creed games to date and a long-time fan favourite.

Exactly when the game will return to the Steam storefront is currently unknown, but those who own the game can still install, launch and play the game.

First released in 2013 and the last Assassin’s Creed game of the old generation, Black Flag left the closed city streets of previous games and took players on an adventure in the Caribbean with characters such as Blackbeard and Mary Read.

While the series’ core stealth assassination and set-piece action is present in the game, naval combat became the main focus, with the largest game world ever seen in the series. When we look at the point where the Assassin’s Creed series has reached today, it is not difficult to notice its impact on games such as Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.

Meanwhile, rumors of a remake or remastered for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag still continue. It just hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, and we probably won’t see it anytime soon. What are you thinking? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
