Developed by BELBİM, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbulkart has been updated for Android and iOS platforms. With the new version, which can be downloaded through digital application stores, support for logging in with a single password consisting of 6 digits was introduced. In addition, it was shared that a password will now be required for transactions related to personal data.
Istanbulkart supports login with fingerprint and face recognition
With the new version, Istanbulkart Mobile developers brought the feature of ‘loading subscriptions to the digital card’ to the application. In addition, thanks to the NFC integration for iOS, it has become possible to carry out contactless transactions such as order transfer and balance inquiry. It was stated that the visa instruction can also be uploaded with NFC.
One of the most important innovations was face recognition and fingerprint login support. Thanks to this feature, you will be able to open the Istanbulkart application quickly without having to enter a password every time.
All the features that come with the renewed Istanbulkart:
- The feature of uploading subscriptions to the digital card has been provided.
- Instead of the old password and pin in login transactions, it is possible to log in with a single password consisting of only 6 digits.
- When clicking the application icon, the password is not requested. Campaigns and general announcements can be seen without entering a password. A password is required for transactions related to personal data.
- Telephone number has started to be used as uniq information instead of e-mail in the login process. E-mail can be filled optionally in membership processes.
- Fast login process can be done with fingerprint and face recognition.
- Commercial electronic message permission is obtained on a channel basis.
- Campaign participation, tracking and rewarding operations can be done. Announcements are displayed.
- NFC integration is done for iOS. Instruction transfer and balance inquiries can be done with NFC.
- Visa procedures can be done. The visa fee will be deducted from the balance in Istanbulkart.
- The visa order can be uploaded via NFC.
- Thanks to the mobile application evaluation, stars can be given and if a comment is requested, it will be directed to the store.
- “Contracts” menu has been added where the contracts can be viewed and read at any time.
