Call of Duty is undoubtedly one of the biggest productions. This special series, which has attracted FPS lovers for years, came to the fore once again after Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard, the producer team of the game, for approximately 70 billion dollars. Microsoft, in its first statement right after the purchase announcement, said that they may no longer produce a new Call of Duty game every year, while expressing that they think the developer team should work on new games as well. Although this has worried the fans of the game, those who have Call of Duty on PlayStation worried 2 times. Because the rights of the game passed to Microsoft, it could also mean that the PlayStation era for Call of Duty could come to an end. Fortunately, Microsoft made a statement on the subject, and hearts were sprinkled with water.
Brad Smith from Microsoft announced that Call of Duty will continue with PlayStation as a result of existing agreements, and also pointed to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. In his blog post, Smith said:
“We have committed to Sony that we will make them available beyond the current agreement and to PlayStation in the future so Sony fans can continue to enjoy the games they love. Similar to support Nintendo’s successful platform. “We’re also interested in taking steps. We believe that’s right for the industry, the players and our business.”
Yep, it looks like PlayStation owners don’t have to worry about Call of Duty.
