Samsung, one of the successful players in the smartphone industry, has been on the agenda for a while with claims that it will give up its Exynos processors. The company, which came up with two processors, including Qualcomm Snapdragon and Exynos, in the Galaxy S series, was also criticized on the grounds that there were performance differences between the two versions.
Samsung has made such a clear statement on the subject for the first time, which has been making many claims about it until now, from stopping producing Exynos chips to turning to different processors in Galaxy S models. So is the company giving up on Exynos?
Will Samsung give up on Exynos processors?
According to the news of Maeil Economic Daily, Samsung flatly denied the claims that it will stop the production of the Exynos processor during the Q2 2022 conference calls. At the same time, the company stated that they have reorganized their business model in processor production and said that they will increase their competitiveness in the medium and long term.
The company’s statement on the subject is as follows;
Specifically, we focus on strengthening the competitiveness of next-generation mobile Exynos and seek to maximize market share by strengthening cooperation with leading IP companies and starting early development.
This statement by Samsung came some time after the company’s claims that it has developed a special processor for its flagship models. While it is claimed that this chip will come in 2025, it is also said that the company will skip Exynos processors in Galaxy flagships in 2023 and 2024. However, the company largely denied these claims with its latest statement.
