Until a few years ago, Huawei was playing high in markets such as smartphones and telecommunications. But things turned upside down after he was blacklisted by the US in 2019. The company has largely lost market share both in China and globally as it has suffered devastating sanctions.

One of the problems that Huawei has the most trouble with is that it cannot produce 5G supported models. Because even today’s entry and mid-segment models have 5G, most of the manufacturer’s flagship phones have 4G support due to sanctions. However, the latest information is that the company has solved the problem with a temporary method.

Huawei developed a case that brings the phone together with 5G

Last month, we announced that Huawei has developed a case to solve the 5G problem due to sanctions. The case, which supports the Huawei P50 Pro in the first place, has been on pre-sale recently. The product attracted the attention of users so much that all stocks were sold out within seconds.

The price tag of the accessory produced by Soyealink is 799 yuan, that is, about 120 dollars. On the other hand, it includes a 5G modem (under 6GHz, NSA+SA) and compatible eSIM, as well as a dual-core processor running at 1.35 GHz. In addition, all transactions take place over the phone. There’s even a signal indicator in the status bar.

Of course, one of the biggest question marks in mind is whether this case will come to other models. Here, we expect the company to launch the case for other models in the future. Of course, although it does not offer a real 5G modem experience in terms of signal quality and hardware, it will not upset users too much in connection speeds.

So what do you think about this issue? Do you think Huawei can go back to its old days with such temporary methods? Do not forget to share your views with us in the comments section.
