Jahwa Elektronik recently announced that it will spend $155 million to establish a new periscope telephoto lens manufacturing facility. Apple, on the other hand, visited the new facilities of Jahwa Elektronik earlier last year.
Apple may invest in Jahwa Elektronik
Apple often asks suppliers to set up a separate manufacturing facility for its own parts. Periscope telephoto lenses are expected to be produced for new iPhone models after the company visited last year and Jahwa Elektronik announced that it will build a new facility. However, a certain process is required for the production facilities to be built and approved by Apple.
Jahwa Elektronik will produce telephoto lenses connected to the periscope camera system in its new production facilities. Many leaks that iPhone models will come with a periscope lens have been on the agenda since 2020. However, new estimates say that this feature will first be found in the iPhone 15 Pro model, which will be released in 2023.
