While Apple’s WWDC event in June is a little while away, claims about the iPhone 15 family have started to increase gradually. While it is claimed that the iPhone 15 will be deprived of ProMotion and Always-On Display, today it is claimed that another feature that Apple is expected to offer with the iPhone 15 series has been delayed.
Allegedly, Apple delayed the under-screen Face ID technology for a long time. However, according to the allegations, the notch at the top of the screens will get smaller and smaller in this process.
We can see under-screen Face ID for the first time with the iPhone 17 Pro
Famous analyst Ross Young, who is an expert on phone screens, stated in a tweet he shared today that Apple has delayed the under-screen Face ID technology due to sensor problems, and that we can see this system in the iPhone 17 Pro model, which will be introduced in 2025 at the earliest.
In addition, according to Young’s claims, Apple may switch to a perforated screen design, as in Samsung screens, from 2024 instead of notch. It is one of the serious claims circulating that the technology giant from Cupertino, which is expected to solve the sensor problems in this process, may change its mind and switch to a different technology instead of Face ID.
However, according to Ross Young, instead of giving up on Face ID technology, Apple can make this technology even stronger by supporting it with advanced sensors and artificial intelligence-supported systems. Of course, it should not be forgotten that these are all claims.
While Apple maintains its silence as usual in the face of these claims, it is not yet known whether there will be a design change in the notch with the high-end models of the iPhone 15.
