What do you think the iPhone will look like in 2027? While we already have plenty of clues about what Apple’s smartphone will look like a few months from now, DSCC analysts have published an article laying out the iPhone roadmap for the coming years, including the technologies Apple will introduce from now on.
Ross Young was the first to say that Apple is planning the new hole + pill design for the iPhone 14 Pro and will stick with the same notch design of the regular model. Now, it has revealed what Apple has planned by 2027. It looks like the company is working on Pro features such as under-display sensors, Always-On display and ProMotion for all models in the future.
If Apple’s plans are not delayed, future iPhone Pro models will appear with:
- 2024: Pill-shaped screen cut
- 2025: Under-panel Face ID + hole
- 2026: Under-panel Face ID + hole
- 2027: Under-panel Face ID + under-panel camera
If this roadmap is correct, we will see the first iPhone Pro model without any holes in 2027. In other words, with the iPhone 18 Pro – if Apple continues the name trend – we will finally have a full-screen iPhone with all its sensors hidden behind the screen.
