Apple, which showcased its new products, especially the iPhone 13 series, at the event it held last month, is at the center of reactions on the grounds that it has not kept up with the changes in the smartphone market recently.

At this point, while the company was criticized for not giving up the notch design that entered our lives with the iPhone X model and the Lightning port, which has been used for many years, a YouTube video published recently managed to become the agenda in a short time.

USB Type-C integrated into iPhone X

Apple has started to gradually switch to the USB Type-C port in its products, such as the iPad mini, which was already introduced last month. However, for now, the same is not the case with iPhone models.

An iPhone user named Ken Pillonel managed to integrate the Type-C input into the iPhone X model, drawing attention to a point where Apple has been severely criticized in recent years in his video.

Stating that after the changes were made in the video, the phone was able to receive power over Type-C as well as data transfers, the user stated that Apple reverse engineered the C94 connector to make a printed circuit board with a USB Type-C port.

Pillonel, who has been working on this issue for months and sharing all the developments with his followers on his personal blog, announced that he will also share a YouTube video in which he explains step by step how he integrated the Type-C input to the iPhone X in the future.

At the same time, the user, who has a quality background in the field of electronics, has a master’s degree in Robotics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. For this reason, it should be noted that such changes should not be attempted by people who do not have sufficient technical knowledge on the subject. Otherwise, you may cause irreversible malfunctions in your device.
