Taiwan-based Foxconn, Apple’s largest manufacturer for iPhone models, came up with an interesting statement today. Introducing two new electric vehicle prototypes, the company announced that it wants to produce electric vehicles for Tesla in the future.
The statement had a parallel relationship with Foxconn’s new electric vehicles. The company shared that it does not want to launch the electric vehicles it introduces under its own name, but that it wants to design and sell vehicles for other companies. Foxconn CEO said, “I hope one day we can produce Tesla cars for Tesla.” made the statement.

Elon Musk has not yet provided a response to Foxconn’s statement. Foxconn has increased its focus on the electric car industry in the last two years and introduced three different models last year. Two of these models were offered for sale under the Taiwan-based automotive company Yulon Motor.
Foxconn shared its future goals as well as a possible Tesla collaboration. CEO Liu stated that he aims to have a 5% market share in the global electric car industry by 2025.
