New button of iPhone 16: Capture button
The new button, called the Capture button, will be among the notable features of the iPhone 16. The shooting button will be located slightly lower, on the same side as the power button. However, it is currently unknown what the new capacitive button will be used for.
The capture button will be a capacitive button instead of the standard mechanical button. As is known, capacitive keys do not move when pressed, unlike mechanical keys. The button senses pressure and touch, providing vibrating feedback. The iPhone SE is expected to offer an experience similar to the vibration felt when pressing the home button.
Apple also tried the capacitive button on the iPhone 15 Pro. However, the power and volume buttons were thought to be capacitive, there was no idea to put any additional buttons. This module was canceled due to insufficient test results and hardware problems. The Capture button will be a separate button from the power and volume buttons and will not be exclusive to iPhone 16 Pro models. Accordingly, the action button currently on the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to be capacitive.
In addition to the new shooting button, improved action button, and redesigned camera layout, Apple is expected to increase the screen size in the iPhone 16 series. The 6.1 inch and 6.7 inch screen sizes will be renewed as 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches.
