iPhone 15 USB-C port confirmed
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max with USB-C ports are expected to support high-speed data transfer, while the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are expected to support USB 2.0 speeds, which is the same as the current Lightning.
In addition, the iPhone 15 models will support USB C accessories officially approved by the Apple Made for iPhone program. MFi USB-C certification will be used to limit features such as high-speed data transfer and fast charging to Apple-approved accessories. There will be a limitation in data transfer and charging speed for cables without MFi certificate. iPhones will be able to fast charge with MFi certified USB-C chargers.
