Currently, the title of the thinnest bezel smartphone is held by Xiaomi 13, but it seems that this will not be in the hands of the Chinese company for a very long time. According to the latest information, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will break a record as the world’s thinnest bezel smartphone.

iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the thinnest bezel phone

According to Ice Universe, which leaks accurate information from Apple’s plans and the technology world in general, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a black frame width of 1.55 mm. This figure was 1.81mm in Xiaomi 13, 2.17mm in iPhone 14 Pro and 1.95mm in Galaxy Ultra S23. Therefore, the claimed value for the iPhone 15 Pro Max can be seen as a serious improvement.

Rumor has it that the bezels on all four iPhone 15 models are expected to be slightly curved at the edges, similar to the iPhone 11 series, but the width of the bezels on the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are not expected to differ from those on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 15 series is also expected to have the same screen sizes as last year’s series.

With further thinning of the screen bezels, the iPhone 15 Pro models may have a similar appearance to the Apple Watch Series 7 and Series 8. Additionally, rumor has it Pro models will feature titanium bezels instead of stainless steel, and solid-state touch buttons (rather than power and volume buttons) that don’t physically move when pressed.

When will the iPhone 15 be released?

Apple is expected to announce the next iPhone series in September as usual. While the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models are expected to have the Dynamic Island feature, it is stated that the solid-state buttons will only be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models are also not expected to feature LTPO displays with ProMotion technology and always-on display.
