The overheating problem experienced by Apple in the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max has still not been solved, but the company is aware of the problem. Technology giant Apple announced a while ago that it would release an update that would solve the iPhone 15 Pro heating problem. According to the latest information, the problem may be resolved with iOS 17.0.3.

iOS 17.0.3 may fix iPhone 15 Pro heating issue

While it is reported that iOS 17.0.3 is currently being tested internally, it is not clear when the update will be available to users. However, iOS 17.0.3 is likely to be released sometime this week or next week.

Apple did not provide any specific details about the bug it detected, but said it would not reduce the performance of the A17 Pro chip with the planned software update. Apple also states that the iPhone 15 Pro’s titanium frame is not to blame, while pointing out that overheating issues are not a result of hardware deficiencies.

The same bug fix is expected to be included in iOS 17.1, which is currently in beta and is expected to be released in late October. Apple also stated that overheating problems are related to some applications that overload the A17 Pro chip, including Instagram, Uber and Asphalt 9: Legends. Apple said it was working with the developers of these apps to address the situation, while Instagram released an app update with a fix. Uber also updated its app today, but it is not yet clear whether this will fix the problem.

On the other hand, users who experience overheating do not experience this only in the applications mentioned by Apple. According to the tests performed, the device heats up in a short time when under load. This heating can occur even in Safari. It should be noted that heating the device also negatively affects battery life.
