iPhone 15, officially offered for sale by US-based technology giant Apple, seems to be having a painful launch. Because many users are already complaining about the heating problem in the iPhone 15 series. However, there are some problems beyond this. Users sharing on several major forums such as Reddit claim that the iPhone 15 series cannot be used with power banks.

Apple switched to USB Type-C port with iPhone 15. With this transition, the company started to offer reverse charging feature on iPhones. This situation seems to have started to cause problems in power banks. Users who try to charge their iPhone 15 with its powerbank sometimes see that the phone is not charging. Sometimes, iPhone 15 starts charging the power bank with reverse charging.

USB Type-A may be the only way to charge with a powerbank!

There are powerbank models from dozens or even hundreds of brands on the market. On Reddit and other forums, it is reported that power banks of almost every brand have problems. Even Anker, one of the most famous powerbank manufacturers in the market, is experiencing problems. According to the statement made by an Anker official, the main reason why the iPhone 15 cannot be charged with a power bank is the reverse charging feature. The official says that the only solution they can find for now is to use a USB Type-A cable.

Apple is aware of the heating problem in the iPhone 15, but no statement has been made about power banks. If a solution to this problem cannot be found, users may have to purchase a new powerbank. Or, as Anker says, the phone is charged using a USB Type-A cable on one end and a USB Type-C cable on the other, which means the user has an extra cable with him. Let’s see how Apple will react to these problems.
