iPhone 15 series uses Qualcomm X70 modem
iFixit recently examined the camera of the iPhone 15 Pro model under a microscope. According to iFixit’s Shahram Mokhtari, Apple did not integrate the motherboard of last year’s Pro models into this year’s base models. Plain iPhone 15 models have also been upgraded. iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, all models in the series use Qualcomm’s X70 modem. Qualcomm X65 modem was also used in the iPhone 14 series. Apple continues this tradition.
What does the Qualcomm X70 modem offer?
Qualcomm X70 modem offers significant improvements in 5G performance. According to current test results, iPhone 15 offers up to 24% faster 5G speeds compared to the previous series. In addition to offering internet connection at higher speeds, the X70 modem also reduces power consumption, offers better performance away from the base station, and improves 5G carrier aggregation.
