The countdown has begun for the iPhone 15 series. To date, a lot of leaked information about the series has emerged. As the launch date approaches, new rumors continue to emerge. Everyone knows that the series will receive USB-C instead of Lightning. Looks like Apple wants a fast connection.
iPhone 15 will get Thunderbolt support
Apple is preparing to support high-speed 40Gbps data transmission. According to the sharing from ChargerLab, the iPhone 15 will offer Thunderbolt support. This support will be available in all three models except the standard model.
As it is known, Apple has used its own signature Lightning input for years. In order to comply with the new regulation made in Europe, Apple will abandon this design with the iPhone 15 and use USB-C. However, it seems that Apple will again offer a unique feature.
Ming-Chi Kuo, who made a name for himself with Apple news, stated that the company will optimize the fast charging performance of MFi-certified USB-C chargers for the iPhone 15. To summarize, if USB-C cables from other companies that do not support Made for iPhone (MFi) are used, the data transfer rate will decrease considerably. According to some sources, it will not allow its use by warning “This accessory is not supported”.
Technological waste is one of the most important factors in the European Union’s decision to impose sanctions. Today, technological tools are subject to change quite frequently. As such, unusable chargers and headphones are, in a way, garbage. It is a matter of debate how much Apple’s last step complies with the EU’s wishes.
