Apple finally introduced the Always On Display feature with the Pro and Pro Max models of the new iPhone 14 series. However, unlike Android, the feature not only showed the clock and some notifications, but also included the background image.
Apple’s Always On Display feature actually served as an extremely dimmed display for users when viewed from this aspect. The company came up with a news that will please its users who are uncomfortable with this situation today.
Background image and notifications can be turned off in Always On Display:
According to the news shared by 9to5Mac, the third developer beta of the new iOS 16.2 operating system included features that will enable turning off the background image and notifications on the Always On Display screen. In this way, users will only be able to see the clock on the screen.
The new Always On Display will look like this with these adjustments:
- Left: Always On Display with background image, Right: New Always On Display
Apple, at least according to the information known for now, will leave the background image and notifications on the Always On Display by default. Of course, since the new change is still in beta, it is not yet certain whether it will be offered to users in the next update.
