Technology giant Apple from Cupertino introduced the new iPhone 14 family at the beginning of September. The parts replacement and repair costs of these phones, which put technology lovers into a small nervous breakdown with their prices, made us tear up.

According to an information that has emerged today, Apple has made the repair process of the phones almost half easier thanks to a small but important change in the parts of the iPhone 14 family without informing anyone. Let’s take a closer look at what this change is all together.

The rear window is finally removable!

If you remember, in all devices after iPhone 7, the rear glass panel and the case of the phone were in one piece. When this was the case, repair works such as replacing the rear window and replacing the rear camera were quite long and challenging. But with the new iPhone 14 series, these processes will now be much easier.

Another striking point in the internal layout of the iPhone 14 is a protective metal plate that divides the front and back of the phone into two. This metal plate not only prevents users from removing the wrong parts unintentionally, but also absorbs the pressure applied to the case when the phone falls to the ground, distributing it to the entire phone.

Apple took measures to prevent the phone from being opened outside of technical service and not replacing parts on almost all phones after the iPhone 8 and later. If you remember, Apple officials started to send notifications to users in non-original screen replacements with an update they brought in 2019, “This iPhone cannot verify that it is a real Apple screen”.

But later on, Apple made a big change and introduced a “fix your own phone” system earlier this year, which will allow users to fix their iPhones themselves. In this system, you could buy parts and replacement equipment from Apple’s official website and repair your device (by paying almost the same price as the service!).

Many users argue that the replacement with the iPhone 14, this arrangement of parts and the ability to remove the back glass are to encourage users to the “fix it yourself” program. But of course, in order to do this repair, you need to use original parts that are at least as expensive as the iPhone itself.
